Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure where hair like incision strokes are created along the eyebrow to enhance, reshape, and create a natural looking appearance for the eyebrows. The procedure entails the use of a nanoblade, which is dipped into the pigment that has been matched to the clients natural hair color and skin tone. The blade glides along the sketched outline of the brow that is mapped before the start of the procedure. I will manually insert the pigment into the upper layers of the skin with the blade to give the eyebrow the impression of fullness and shape. The result is soft and natural eyebrows.

Before the procedure

  • If you have your eyebrows waxed or threaded, please have them done AT LEAST 3 days before your appointment. We want minimal irritation before we begin. I will clean up minimal stray hairs but will not thread or tweeze a new shape for you the day of your appointment.
  • Do NOT wear makeup to your appointment. If you feel you must, please wear as minimal as possible. You may however fill your brows in if you want me to see the look you normally wear or want to achieve with microblading.
  • If you use Botox, it is recommended that you come at least 2 weeks after your last appointment.
  • Do not use a tanning bed for 30 days before the procedure.
  • It is recommended that you do not take any sun vacations for at least a week before or after for best results.
  • You cannot exercise the day of your appointment.
  • If you are prescribed blood thinners, please consult with your primary physician before this procedure and bring a copy of your physician's consent to have this procedure. Typically you would need to stop taking your blood thinning medication for 72 hours before your appointment but please consult with your doctor beforehand.
  • If you are receiving chemotherapy, please consult with your physician before this procedure. You may have this procedure before the start of your chemotherapy treatments. I would need a written consent from your cancer physician to proceed if you are having this procedure while being treated for chemotherapy. I will also call and confirm this with your doctor to protect everyone involved before the procedure.
  • If you have been prescribed Accutane in the past, you must wait at least one year before considering this procedure.
  • I will not microblade you if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Don't try it, I will know.
  • I will not microblade you if you are under the age of 18, parent consent or not. Please bring a valid government ID to your appointment.
  • I will not microblade you if you are pregnant.
  • If you are sick, you must reschedule your appointment.
  • If you are allergic to Lidocaine, Benzocaine, or Tetracaine, I will not be able to provide you the numbing topical cream before the procedure is performed.

Does Microblading hurt?

  • The discomfort is relative as everyone has a different level of sensitivity. A. pre-numbing, 100% vegan anesthetic is applied for numbing before and during the procedure. Clients are usually pleased to discover that it is no more painful than tweezing or threading. The mapping of the eyebrows takes longer than the actual procedure itself! :)

After the procedure

  • Your semi-permanent makeup will look very dark and intense the first few days and they will gradually lighten over the course of healing. There may be a point where you feel like they have disappeared completely. Trust the process! A lot of clients have pigment return to the surface weeks after their appointment. It takes a full 6-8 weeks to completely heal and for the skin to resurface with your new brows!
  • Some people prefer a bolder eyebrow look in the beginning. If you are someone who loves a bold look, we will keep that in mind for your follow up appointment.  We can always go darker!
  • Keep eyebrow area dry, I prefer the dry method. Don't apply ointments like you would do with tattoos.
  • You can wash your eyebrows very gently with dial soap or Cetaphil! Pat your face gently with a clean towel and let dry.
  • Do not pick the scabs! It could cause the pigment to fall out all together.
  • Do not exercise or do any activity that will make you sweat a lot for at least a week.
  • Do not thread or wax the area until healed
  • Sun exposure can and WILL affect your semi-permanent makeup.
  • It is highly recommended you wait 30 days to use a tanning bed after the procedure.
  • Any changes you are wanting to make will be done at your follow up appointment. Your new eyebrows are not fully complete until your follow up appointment.
  • If you have a reaction to this service, please contact your physician.

A lot of people have the pigment reappear weeks after! It takes a full 6-8 weeks depending on your body to see how your eyebrows and skin resurface.

Why do I need two appointments?

  • Microblading is a multiple step appointment process. Your brows won't be completed after just one service! Each of these appointments need to be 6-8 weeks apart. At your second appointment, we will asses the color retention and make any adjustments necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your cosmetic eyebrows do not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry! We can always go bolder and add more density during your second appointment! If you do not come to your second appointment that we schedule the day of your first appointment, you will pay the full price again of a regular microblading procedure. The touch up appointment corrects any irregularities in the hair strokes, color tones, and finishes the process.
  • ********** Occasionally a third touch up (6 weeks later) is necessary for certain clients where the pigment does not take well to the skin

How long does it last?

  • The results of microblading usually last between 12 months to 3 years. Because it's semi-permanent, the pigment will eventually fade. This is why it's so important to come in for your follow up appointment and keep up with touch ups between 12 months of your follow up appointment. The quality of the result largely depends on the aftercare!

How much does it cost?

  • The initial procedure is $300 and your follow up touch up appointments are $100. If you stay on top of touch up appointments, you only pay the initial $300 one time! If you don't keep up with touch up appointments and let the pigment fall out, the $300 will apply again to create the entire brow from scratch.
