What Is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi permanent makeup procedure where hair like incision strokes are created along the eyebrow to enhance, reshape and create a natural looking appearance for the brows. The procedure entails the use of a nanoblade, which is dipped into the pigment that has been matched to the clients natural hair color and skin tone. The blade glides along the sketched outline of the brow that is mapped before the start of the procedure. I will manually insert the pigment into the upper layers of the skin with the blade to give the eyebrow the impression of fullness and shape. The result is soft and natural eyebrows.

Does microblading hurt?

The discomfort is relative as everyone has a different level of sensitivity. A pre-numbing anesthetic is applied for numbing before and during the procedure. Clients are usually pleased to discover that is no more painful than tweezing or threading. The mapping of the brows takes longer than the actual procedure itself! :)

How long does it last?

The results of microblading usually last between 12 months and 3 years. Because it’s semi-permanent, the pigment will eventually fade. This is why it’s so important to come in for a touch up, 12 months within your follow up appointment.  However, the quality of the result largely depends on the the aftercare!
